The day of Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated as Hanuman Janmotsav. It is believed that if Hanuman Jayanti falls on Tuesday or Saturday in a week, then its importance increases manifold.

As a result, instead of Jayanti, the date of Hanuman Ji’s birthday should be called Janmotsav.
Hanuman Chalisa & Tulsidas
Goswami Tulsidas composed Hanuman Chalisa in a prison for Hanuman Ji’s devotion in the 16th century. Tulsidas is widely regarded as the rebirth of Valmiki, the author of the Ramayana. It is therefore assumed that the Hanuman Chalisa was written by the same person who wrote the Ramayana, despite the fact that both of them were written centuries apart.
