5th Time Deepotsav World Record in Ayodhya

Guinness World Record is made in Ayodhya for the 5th time: 9.51 lakh lamps were decorated on 32 ghats.

Ayodhya is Rammay. The government broke its old record on the 5th of Deepotsav. About 9.51 lakh lamps were lit at 32 Ghats connected to Ram ki Paidi on the banks of Saryu and the Guinness Book record was created. At the same time, a world record was made for lighting 12 lakh diyas in the entire city of Ayodhya. Maharishi Valmiki’s story of Rama was narrated through holographic light.

Earlier in the morning, a grand procession was taken out depicting the arrival of Shri Ram in Ayodhya in a symbolic form. In the afternoon Lord Rama, Mata Sita, and Lakshmana reached Ayodhya by Pushpak Vimana (helicopter). CM Yogi Adityanath welcomed everyone from the helipad. After this Lord Ram was brought by chariot to Ramkatha Park. The coronation of Lord Rama took place here. CM Yogi crowned Ram.

Preparations to re-enter Guinness World Records

Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University Administration has finalized the work of laying a lamp on Ram ki Paidi. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Under the guidance of Ravi Shankar Singh, the university administration has appointed about 200 coordinators, 32 supervisors, and 32 in-charges at 32 Ghats. Many departments, colleges, voluntary organizations, and inter-college teachers and students of the university campus have been involved as volunteers.

Amrit Festival of Independence, Pattern of Kevat Context

More than 9 lakh lamps have been decorated for the Ramayana period at the 32 ghats of Ram ki Paidi. On November 3, the target is to light 9 lakh 51 thousand lamps along with pouring oil into them. Each volunteer has to light 75 lamps. The pattern of the nectar festival of freedom has been given at Ghat number 2 of Ram ki Paidi. Diyas are decorated on Ghat numbers 3 and 4 in the pattern of the Kewat context and Ram-Ravana war. Ram Bhakt Hanuman at ghat numbers 5 and 6, while on one the logo of Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is being made.

Arrangement of buses to ensure that the volunteers are not inconvenienced

Dr. Shailendra Verma, the nodal officer of the university said that buses have been arranged for the volunteers. They have been asked to light the lamp following the protocol of Kovid-19. No one will be allowed to enter the ghat without an ID card.

Time consultant of Guinness World Records Nischal Bhanot said that each lamp has to be lit evenly for at least 5 minutes for the record. Through one drone, we count the lamps and the other drone gives us visual information about whether the lamp is burning or not.

The main event of the 5-day Deepotsav 2021 was again made in the Deepotsav. CM Yogi Adityanath organized Deepotsav for the first time in the year 2017. The Deepotsav started with 51 thousand diyas. The record was broken on the banks of Saryu with 4,04,226 earthen lamps in the year 2019, and 6,06,569 earthen lamps in the year 2020. This time CM Yogi Adityanath had already announced that 12 lakh earthen lamps will be lit in Ayodhya this time on Deepotsav.
