1. Makar Sankranti
Makar Sankranti is one of the most important Hindu festivals celebrated in the month of January. Celebrated on the date of 15 January every year it is one of the Sun Festivals in India. Based on local culture and rituals, Makar Sankranti is celebrated with different names in different states of India., In Uttar Pradesh, Makar Sankranti is known as Khichadi. 2. Kumbh Mela
Kumbh Mela is one of the
most important Hindu festivals that starts on Makar Sankranti. The Kumbh Mela is organizing at four places
in India i.e. Ujjain, Nasik, Prayagraj and Haridwar. The festival continues for
35 days every year.
3. Vasant Panchami
Vasant Panchami is also one of the most important Hindu festivals. It comes in the month of January-February. Vasant Panchami is also known as Saraswati Puja. The festival celebration also signifies the welcome of the Vasant season or also known as the autumn season.
4. Maha Shivratri
Maha Shivratri is also one of the most important Hindu festivals. Maha Shivratri comes in the
month of February. On the day of Maha Shivratri, Hindus offer prayer to Lord
Shiva and keep fasting. On the day of Maha Shivratri, We can see the large crowds of devotees in different Shiv Temples or Shivalaya in India.
5. Holi Festival
Holi is one of the most important Hindu festivals in India. Holi is commonly referred to as the
"Festival of Colors". This festival is deeply attached to Indian culture. There are some popular Holi celebration spots in India. festival of brother and sister. It comes in the month of August. On the day of
Raksha Bandhan sister ties a Rakhi on the right-hand wrist of his brother and
takes the promise of protection for her own life for a lifetime.
7. Krishna Janmashtami
Krishna Janmashtami is one of the most important Hindu festivals. The festival comes in the month of August. Krishna Janmashtami is the celebration of the birthday of Lord Krishna. Although Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated across many countries including India, you can enjoy the real flavor of the Festival in the city of Lord Krisna i.e. Mathura and Vrindavan.
8. Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Chaturthi is also one
of the most important festivals in India widely celebrated in Maharashtra
State. The festival continues for 10 days. On these days, Hindus bring the childhood
idol of Lord Ganesh, set in their home, and organize prayers for 10 days.
9. Navratri or Durga Puja
Navratri is a nine days festival. Navratri is one of the most important Hindu festivals in India widely
celebrated in North India, West Bengal, and Gujarat. During the Navratri festival, Hindus set
idols of Goddess Durga and organize prayer for nine days.

10. Vijayadashami or Dussehra

organized at different places in India. Dussehra is also one of the most
important festivals in India.
11. Diwali Festival
Diwali or Deepawali is one
of the most important Hindu festivals in India. Diwali-The Festival of Lights comes just after 20 days
of the Dussehra festival and celebrate for 5 Days. Not only Hindu but Sikh Community, Jain
Community, and Buddha Community also celebrate Diwali Festival with much pomp, joy, and happiness.
12. Chhath Puja
Chhath is one of the most important Hindu Festivals. Chhat Puja is also one of the Sun Festivals in India. The festival is widely celebrated in North India, especially in Bihar State.
